Terrestrial Wireless

Wireless networking is potentially, quick, easy, and economical alternative to running wires around your office. It also opens up possibilities for connecting buildings which are up to several kilometres apart. This technology allows the connection of multiple networks in a metropolitan area such as different buildings in a city, which can be an alternative or a backup to laying copper or fibre cabling. Site Survey and wireless selection is done by the RF engineers, based on the pertinent geographical area.

Wireless solution is depending on Site Location and Data Traffic. Mikrotik-based wireless connection is able to have up to 20 Mbps also UBIQITI company provides the best equipment and network solutions for our Earthmax network. For more bandwidth or even longer distance; Trango-based Microwave Link is highly recommended.. If neither of the above were presented, a repeater site can be suggested between the two points. We’re planning to avoid these complications, because RF and transmission engineers will work together on the project from the beginning, so that any problems will be easily identified early in the wireless network design and site acquisition process.

Many projects may require a Hub site presence. The hub site or EarthLink’s POP is the site to which the traffic from the two to three or more sites is brought before it is taken to the fibre optic or microwave backbone system and ultimately to the core switch site. All the equipment, including the MW system, is highly reliable so that the chance of failure is almost negligible. Our entire hub sites have optical and MW links leading toward the backbone or the switch in a protected mode. Protected MW systems will guarantee uninterrupted operation of the important MW hop carrying traffic from a number of cell sites.

Wireless Connection Installation

RF engineers will be responsible for the site preparation with measures according to the site location (geographical longitude/latitude), nearest EarthLink POP, available local site LOS requirements. These measures will be essential to specify the tower height, operating frequency, modulation mode, TX/RX power.
